Setting aside my interest in science, religion and philosophy; I also love watching movies. And after hearing about a movie being made about the life of Charles Darwin, I was both curious and skeptical as to how it would turn out; but after watching the trailer - it actually looks pretty good!
The movie, interestingly titled "Creation" has been in the making for some time now, and tells the story of the British scientist, Charles Darwin and his life leading up to the release of his book "The Origin of Species".
If the story isn't interesting enough, it appears that Emma, the wife of Charles Darwin, is going to be played by none other than Jennifer Connelly (who is also the real-life wife of Paul Bettany, the actor who plays the role of Charles Darwin!).
No doubt that when the movie is released in America, there will be a huge uproar caused by evangelical Christians who will inevitably point out how controversial the theory of evolution is; when you, I and any other scientifically literate person who knows anything about the theory of evolution knows there is no 'controversial' about it.
On a side note, much of the filming for the movie was done about an hour or two up the road from me, in a beautiful place called Bradford-on-Avon!
